Precision cuts, classic craft, and the genuine sounds of 1950s rock 'n' roll.
Phil Yates has spent decades immersed in 1950s rock 'n' roll culture — as a graphic designer, event producer, DJ, and radio host.
He co-created The Hellbilly Hop, a live rockabilly music event series, and hosted Grits and Grease on Rocking247Radio — the station owned by Tom Ingram, founder of Viva Las Vegas, the world's largest rockabilly festival. He wears a full pompadour to work every day. He owns a 1957 jukebox.
Three years ago, he became a barber.
It was the most natural move he'd ever made.
Working from his chair at Hava & Co and now bringing his craft to this special pop-up at The Tuesday Club Café, Phil combines a genuine passion for traditional barbering with a lifetime spent living and breathing the culture that inspired it.
Whether you're after a sharp professional cut, a classic pompadour, a precision fade, or something with a little more character, you'll get a proper consultation, honest technique, and a conversation worth having.
This isn't a conveyor belt. It's a chair with a story behind it.
