We’re delighted to welcome you to the Fujifilm House of Photography Auckland, part of a global network of creative hubs in cities such as London, Seoul and Barcelona, and the largest House of Photography in the Southern Hemisphere.

The House of Photography is a place to touch, try, learn, print, exhibit and create, with a professional studio, gallery, and workshop spaces all under one roof.

This evening is about opening the doors to you, our photography community, so you can feel at home in the space, explore what’s possible, and discover how it can support your own creative practice. Whether through studio use, exhibitions, or future events, we hope this becomes a place you return to.

Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with drinks and nibbles, connect with fellow photographers, and hear from Fujifilm X-Photographer Tam West, who will present her work and share insights into her creative approach.

As a multidisciplinary artist working across photography and painting, my practice is guided by a quiet search for the emotional and human threads that connect us. Photography, in particular, has become a way of entering other people’s worlds—of pausing, observing, and listening. Finding Beauty emerged from this impulse as a project in which I photographed artists and creatives within their homes and studios. Alongside each portrait, conversations unfolded around beauty, creativity, and the shifting landscapes we inhabit. The resulting body of work brings together a series of intimate portraits that seek to reveal not only the individual and their relationship to their physical environment, but also the inner landscapes that shape and inform their practice—inviting the viewer to reflect on their own understanding of beauty and connection.
