The Ring of Daisies is The Poetry Society of New York’s first-ever open mic series. What started as a makeshift open mic stage at the NYC Poetry Festival—literal daisies carefully arranged in a semi-circle on the hot July grass—can now bloom and shine with all the seasons. In partnership with Accent Sisters, join us each quarter for a night of poetry and art from PSNY members, festival-goers and friends old and new.
Unlike other open mics in NYC, the Ring of Daisies includes art activations, collaborative writing activities, and an opportunity to connect and reconnect with your favorite poetry festival community.
Never been to the NYC Poetry Festival? Not a PSNY Member? Not a problem! This event series is open to everyone, though priority sign-ups will be given to members—we encourage you to become a member today!
Consider this space your very own field of daisies—wild, brilliant, warm, and open to the sun’s ever-encouraging spotlight.
A signup sheet will be sent to members who register ahead of the event. Everyone else is welcome to sign up first-come, first-serve, onsite!
