About this Event
On May 15, 2025, Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County (CAC) is hosting our second annual one-day symposium designed to address vicarious trauma in helping professions. We know firsthand the incredible challenges facing our colleagues in mental health and social service, as well as first responders. The feedback from our first symposium revealed how much we need to come together to encourage and support each other. We're all in this together!
So bring yourself (or your whole team) for a day of inspired learning and self-care! Our keynote speaker is Amy Morgan, MSC, CWPS, CFRC(D), CMHA, CCPA. Amy is the CEO/Founder of and a sought-after speaker on mental health in the social service and first responder professions.
New for 2025, there will be two content tracks: one geared toward social workers and one geared toward first responders. There will be two break-out sessions for each track in the morning and in the afternoon. Participants can choose any two of the four sessions.
CEUs are offered for LCSW, LCPC and ISBE social workers. ILETSB credits for law enforcement participants are pending.
Early bird registration is $25/person*, which includes in-person sessions, breakfast, lunch and 3 CEUs or ILETSB credits. A networking area will also be available. Groups registering 3 or more people together pay $20/person.
*$25 reflects Early Bird pricing. After May 1, tickets will be $30/person.
