The Reset: A Curated Wellness & Connection Experience

Hosted by Byrd Cancer Education & Advocacy Foundation in partnership with Guided Grounding, The Reset is an intimate wellness experience created for those who spend their lives caring for others.
Designed for cancer care professionals, nonprofit leaders, advocates, executive directors, founders, and healthcare professionals, this experience offers a rare opportunity to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself beyond the work.
Too often, the people carrying communities on their shoulders are expected to continue pouring from an empty cup. Burnout, compassion fatigue, and emotional exhaustion are real, especially for those navigating leadership, advocacy, caregiving, and service-based work.
The Reset was intentionally created as a softer space.
This is not a conference.
This is not a panel-heavy networking event.
This is a healing-centered experience rooted in reflection, restoration, wellness, and meaningful connection.
Throughout the afternoon, guests will experience guided grounding practices, somatic wellness activities, intentional conversation, journaling, aromatherapy, tea service, restorative moments, and community-centered dialogue designed to help attendees release, reset, and reconnect with purpose.
Led in collaboration with Dr. Sharon Washington of Guided Grounding, the experience will include breathwork, guided meditation, reflective conversation, gentle wellness practices, and interactive moments centered around sustainability, leadership, and emotional well-being.
The Reset is a reminder that caregivers, advocates, and leaders deserve care too.
