The first in our series of talks to celebrate the 200-year anniversary of the Ramshorn! Learn more about the building's life as a theatre
About this Event

This year marks 200 years since the completion of the Ramshorn church, which was built between 1824-1826.

To celebrate, we will be sharing some of the history of the building - its occupants and its various uses over the years - through a series of talks covering its beginnings as St David's Parish Church attended by Glasgow's wealthy merchants, before being converted into a theatre, and later an events space, by the University of Strathclyde.

As part of Glasgow Doors Open Days theme 'Glasgow Goes Out: The Places That Made Us', the first in our series of talks to celebrate the 200-year anniversary of the Ramshorn will focus on the building's time as the Ramshorn Theatre, which operated between 1992 and 2011.

Doors open: 18:00
Talk starts: 18:30, running for approximately one hour with time for questions and refreshments afterwards.

Follow SCILT on Eventbrite to stay informed about the rest of the Ramshorn anniversary talks.
