Future Oceans Assembly: Youth Visions for Ocean Justice in Scotland
About this Event
Future Oceans Assembly
What should Scotland's oceans look like in 2050? Who has the right to speak for them, and who should be protected by law?
Join us for a creative policy lab, which brings together young people aged 18–25 to reimagine Scotland's ocean future. Through guided discussion and hands-on creative making, you'll explore big questions around ocean justice, environmental law, and intergenerational rights.
The day features speakers on marine conservation and environmental (in)justice, followed by a co-creation session where you'll produce zines, posters, and other creative outputs responding to prompts.
Outputs will be exhibited publicly at the University of Glasgow with your consent and compiled into a publication on Youth Visions for Ocean Justice in Scotland.
This event is free to attend and open to students, activists, artists, and anyone passionate about climate and ocean issues aged 18-25.
