Blending gritty garage rock, vintage country, blues, and straight-up rock & roll, the band creates music that’s raw, emotional, and unboxed. Their third album, Tasteless (released October 15), showcases strong songwriting, dynamic performances, and polished independent production, delivering songs that honor the past while pushing boldly forward.
Spirit Ghost is a project built on independence and instinct, driven by songwriting that starts fully formed before opening up to collaboration. Founded with a DIY mindset, Spirit Ghost blends personal, meticulously crafted songs with the strengths of a trusted band, allowing each member to add nuance once the core vision is set. The result is music that balances solitary creation with collective energy—intimate, intentional, and shaped by letting the song come first.
Nick Politelli started performing in London in 2010 as a study abroad student at a folk club in Camden. He now writes and plays guitar in the Providence based bands: Ravi Shavi and Lookers. He performed as part of Asad Raza’s “Root Sequence. Mother Tongue” at the Whitney Biennial in New York City and at the Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai, China. Nick continues to play his interpretations of ragtime and country blues songs under his own name.
