The Power Failure In Your Head | Curious Minds Series
About this Event
The Power Failure in Your Head
What actually happens when the brain gets concussed?
Why can a seemingly minor impact cause such unusual symptoms? Why do two people with the same injury recover completely differently? And what can concussion reveal about the way our brains normally see, think, balance, sleep, and experience the world around us?
For September’s Curious Minds, we’re welcoming Dr. Benjamin Siebert of Neuroscience Group, a board-certified physician specializing in concussion and traumatic brain injury. A former U.S. Army physician and current leader in brain injury care and advocacy, he has spent much of his career trying to understand one of medicine’s most fascinating—and misunderstood—injuries.
Join Dr. Siebert for an informal and engaging journey inside the concussed brain, mixing science, real-world experience, surprising facts, and a few myths worth retiring.
No medical knowledge required. Curiosity encouraged.
