Alt-rock is a broad genre that is often hard to define. It’s the kind of music that comes to mind when one thinks of house shows, mosh-pitting, and the eagerness of the early 2000s. Lighten Up, Francis is here to provide Utah Valley, and the world, with a vibrant sound that aims to induce the kind of good time only brought on by authentic alternative rock. Their primary goal is to have fun, create art, and encourage others to do the same. Their live shows provide the perfect outlet to do just that: let loose, “Lighten Up,” and have a good time.

Drawing inspiration from 80s hair rock and pop punk, Swerved By Blondes blends these genres to create a distinctive sound. Sam emphasizes the importance of effective communication within the band, ensuring that each member's ideas contribute to their collaborative songwriting process. Their music features thought-provoking lyrics paired with energetic melodies, resonating with a diverse audience.

The Bombshell Flowers are an alternative rock trio from Utah blending surf shimmer, indie grit, pop hooks, and tight three part harmonies into a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

​Formed in 2011, the band features Brenden Blackham, Brantly Green, and Gavin Cox. After gaining early momentum in the Utah indie scene, the group stepped away for a three year hiatus from 2017 to 2020. When they returned, it was with renewed clarity and a sharper creative focus. Since then, they have steadily expanded their audience and strengthened their presence across the Western U.S. indie circuit.

The Pearl on Main is the brainchild of John Simianer and Peyton Wunderli. Purchased with the intention of activating the street, the theatre hosts many events, from live theater to concerts and movies. The theatre is a key piece of the revitalization efforts for the city of Midvale and there are exciting renovation plans on the horizon. Day to day operations are run by the talented Taylor Dunn.
