About this Event
NEXT EXCURSION: Hermitage of Braids & Blackford Hill
Celebrate the colours of Autumn, and join us for a relaxed stroll through the Hermitage and get a view out over the city from the top of Blackford Hill
Enjoy relaxed chat with like-minded freelancers and small business folks. We'll be walking for around 1.5 hours, so you'll want comfy footwear, and be prepared for all weathers!

📍 Levenhall Links Car Park
🥪☕ BYO snacks and drinks, or pick up something from the Lodge Coffee House
🚽 There are loos at the start and the end of the walk
🚌 Bus options, bike parking, and some on street parking available
🥾🥾 Medium route - paths through the woods, with big steps up to the top of the hill
💚 This event's walk leaders will be Katie and Cheryl
🐾 Dogs on the lead are welcome!
We'll be in touch about car sharing before the event on our community WhatsApp group, and will do our best to coordinate, although we cannot guarantee that we will be able to line this up.

The Outsiders is a friendly bunch of freelancers, flexi-workers and small business owners for some fresh air, relaxed chat, and enjoy Edinburgh's incredible varied landscapes.

Will I be able to do the walk?
We aim to ensure the walks are as accessible as possible and will do our best to indicate where they might be more challenging. If you have any questions at all about the route you can contact Katie who will be happy to help.
🥾: Easy route - flat paths, suitable for all who can walk 5km comfortably
🥾🥾: Medium route: paths with some hills or uneven surfaces, still suitable to most, but not if you have any underlying injury or condition.
🥾🥾🥾: Hard route: challenging route that will be suitable for those who are confident walkers.

We do our very best to create safe and enjoyable outdoor community events, however, The Outsiders do not take responsibility for accidents or injuries. By attending, participants acknowledge that they do so at their own risk. While we make every effort to select safe and accessible routes, it is each participant’s responsibility to ensure they are physically able to take part, dress appropriately for Scotland’s changeable weather, come with their own food and drinks, and wear suitable footwear.
We also ask that everyone who attends these events do so in the spirit of the group. We have devised a Community Code of Collaboration which outlines these expectations.
