A beloved holiday tradition returns to the Averitt Center for the Arts as The Nutcracker Ballet once again takes the stage at the historic Emma Kelly Theater. Proudly presented by the Cotton Rose School of Dance and the Averitt Center, this enchanting production will run November 21 and 22 at 7:00 PM, with a final matinee performance on November 23 at 3:00 PM.
For more than a decade, The Nutcracker has delighted families across the Statesboro community, becoming one of the most anticipated events of the season! The production features a talented local cast composed of current Cotton Rose School of Dance students, dedicated instructors, and select community members. This year’s production stars Ansley Dolan as Clara, the young girl whose magical journey begins with a mysterious gift, and long-time dancer Aaliyah Lonon as the Nutcracker, the brave soldier who leads her through a world of wonder.
Get ready to be transported into a fanciful dreamscape where Clara battles the wicked Mouse King, sails across the Lemonade Sea, explores the dazzling Land of Sweets, and is welcomed by the graceful Sugarplum Fairy! Stunning choreography, whimsical storytelling, and beloved classical music bring this nostalgic tale to life in a way that both longtime attendees and first-time viewers will cherish.

Tickets are priced between $18.00 and $28.00 and can be purchased through the Averitt Center’s box office or online at AverittCenterForTheArts.org. To avoid disappointment, we strongly encourage early reservations, as performances typically sell out.
