วทมนตร์คริสต์มาส ความฝันในยามค่ำ และบัลเลต์ที่ครองใจคนทั้งโลก
เมื่อค่ำคืนแห่งคริสต์มาสมาเยือน บ้านของครอบครัว Silberhaus เต็มไปด้วยเสียงหัวเราะ ของขวัญ และบรรยากาศแสนอบอุ่น จนกระทั่ง ดรอสเซลไมเออร์ พ่อทูนหัวผู้ลึกลับของเด็กหญิง คลาร่า มอบของขวัญพิเศษชิ้นหนึ่งแก่เด็กๆ ตระกูล Silberhaus ตุ๊กตาไม้ “นัทแครกเกอร์” ผู้ดูแข็งแกร่งแต่แฝงไว้ด้วยความน่ารัก
ในยามค่ำคืนอันเงียบงัน ขณะที่บ้านทั้งหลังหลับใหล เวทมนตร์ก็เริ่มทำงาน ต้นคริสต์มาสสูงตระหง่าน ตุ๊กตาของเล่นลุกขึ้นมีชีวิต และนัทแครกเกอร์ก็นำทัพเข้าต่อสู้กับ ราชาหนู ก่อนจะแปรเปลี่ยนเป็นเจ้าชายรูปงาม พาคลาร่าท่องไปยัง อาณาจักรขนมหวาน ผ่านป่าหิมะและดินแดนมหัศจรรย์ ที่ซึ่งเธอได้รับการต้อนรับดุจเจ้าหญิง ท่ามกลางการเต้นรำอันงดงามจากทั่วโลก
เรื่องราวแห่งเวทมนตร์นี้จบลงเมื่อคลาร่าตื่นในเช้าวันคริสต์มาส... ทว่าความอบอุ่นและความงามของค่ำคืนนั้นยังคงอยู่ในใจผู้ชมไปตลอดกาล
