About this Event
This event celebrates two milestones: The Niram Collective's first permanent physical presence in Singapore, and the beginning of our collaboration with The Fashion Pulpit. Niram Closet is now permanently housed at Circular Fashion Hub — a space that shares our belief that clothes deserve longer, fuller lives.
The event is a relaxed open house running from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The scheduled activities of saree styling and the garland-making will only run until 5:00pm so do come on time to catch them! Otherwise, guests are welcome to arrive and leave freely at any time.
Come meet and chat with the founders Radha and Sinhu, to learn about the whys and hows of running such a circular business. The event is open to all — Indian and non-Indian, community members, collaborators, press, and anyone curious about circular Indian fashion.
Garment education cards will be displayed alongside each piece — brief, accessible descriptions of each garment type for guests who are new to Indian ethnic wear.
What guests can expect
• Browse and try on pieces from the Niram Closet rental collection
• Get a saree draped on them by a helper on the spot
• Learn to string individual jasmine flowers onto a thread — a traditional Tamil craft — and wear the finished garland in their hair for a photo if they'd like
• Explore a saree fabric and history corner featuring Indian textiles: Kanjivaram, Tussar Silks, Cotton, Chiffon, and many more
• Make a rental booking on the day if one so wishes
• Read garment education cards displayed alongside each piece — brief, accessible descriptions for guests new to Indian ethnic wear
• Hear from Radha and Sindhu about The Niram Collective
• Enjoy F&B by Papan Keju
Who The Niram Collective is
The Niram Collective is a Singapore-based circular fashion brand focused on Indian ethnic wear. Founded by Radha and Sindhu, the brand operates two verticals: Niram Upcycled, which transforms donated sarees into contemporary pieces so that forgotten sarees get a second life, and Niram Closet, a rental arm offering sarees, lehengas, anarkalis, and salwar suits for occasions. The brand was born from a simple frustration — Indian ethnic wear is too beautiful, too meaningful, and too expensive to wear just once. Together, both verticals exist to close that loop, making Indian fashion more circular, more accessible, and less wasteful. The Niram Collective is six months old and has been recognised as one of the top 7 nominees for Eco Fashion Weekend's Sustainable Fashion Brand of the Year.
The event is a celebration and attendance is free. Do come by!
