Join us at the Napoleonic Fort Perch Rock for an afternoon walk that will take you on a 200 Year journey through time from Victorians to Modern Day!
In the 19th Century James Atherton had a vision, this vision was to bring Rich Merchants to the quieter side of the River Mersey for Peaceful Living. This resulted in the building of many beautiful and unique homes, venues and structures. This also resulted in the increase of Crimes taking place at the Seaside.
You will also hear of Maritime Tales, Murders and Crimes that shook the 19th Century. Learn of the local Food, Drinks and Entertainment. Hear of The importance of being well dressed and clean to try and combat deadly diseases and why drinking beer was safer than water.
Our Historian and Author is well versed in Victorian History and he will take you on a journey through the ages
