About this Event
The New Blueprint: Climate Resiliency by Design
As policymakers, planners and designers, we have learned a great deal over the last decade about the science and real-world impacts of our changing climate, as well as how to innovate and guide capital projects in New York City to become more resilient. We are now at a pivotal moment where this knowledge is being used to measure effectiveness and inform climate resilience requirements for the city's infrastructure and buildings. Representatives from the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, NYC Housing Preservation and Development, and Port Authority of NY and NJ will highlight key areas of focus within evolving climate resiliency design guidelines. This panel will provide valuable insights on updates to climate resiliency design requirements for capital infrastructure and building projects throughout New York City, while also showcasing lessons learned from ongoing and completed pilot projects.
This panel presentation starts promptly at 10AM, attendees are encouraged to arrive early to grab coffee and a great seat! Following the presentation is a 30-minute networking reception with light refreshments and more coffee.
