FUNGI of the NORTH WOODS: 2026 Keweenaw Natural History seminars presented by the Carnegie Museum and the Keweenaw Land Trust (KLT)For this year's seminars, we have again teamed up with the Keweenaw Land Trust and created a series of seminars about Keweenaw fungi. We'll begin Tuesday, April 28 with an introduction to the Natural History of Fungi by Dr. Erik Lilleskov, Research Ecologist at USDA Forest Service, Houghton.
Subsequent seminars about Fungi include a panel discussion about fungi in popular culture including literature with Michigan Tech Humanities professors; cooking with mushrooms talk and demonstration; ID walk and talk; and fungi as a creative art medium.
