The music of NIna Simone is a reflection of the life of Nina Simone.Karen Underwood is a panelist on the Today show, singer and storyteller. She has performed at the National Concert Hall, Vicar Street, The Mermaid, The Pavillion, Cork Opera House, The Everyman, The Olympia, Marlay Park, The Millenium Forum Derry and a host of other venues.
Karen Underwood's producer said, ´I first learned of Nina Simone when I moved to Cork in 1997 and I am still flabbergasted that I had never heard of this powerhouse of a woman. A woman whom I share so much in common. It’s been 20 years since I heard that name, Nina Simone and I can’t unhear it now´.
