About this Event
This event marks the publication of The Modern Israeli and Palestinian Diasporas: A Comparative Approach (University of Texas Press), edited by Prof. Nahum Karlinsky. The Institute on Culture, Religion, and World Affairs is sponsoring this event.
At this book launch, two prominent authors who contributed to the edited volume – Israeli-born Professor Omer Bartov, a renowned scholar of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Brown University, and famed Palestinian novelist, screenwriter, and essayist Sayed Kashua—will reflect on how being outside their homeland, especially during tumultuous times, impacts their lives, scholarship, and artistic work.
A reception will follow this event. Registration is required.
