We have a very exciting announcement: Our final 70th anniversary event will take place on March 8th!We've teamed up with Countrystride to host a live podcast alongside a la’l exhibition celebrating your stories and memories of the bookshop (including a specially commissioned artwork!), which will be displayed at the event.
Host Dave Felton, will be chatting with Steve Baskerville-Muscutt (former owner of Fred’s Bookshop) and Janet Bagot (involved in education in Ambleside for over 40 years) to discuss the modern history of Ambleside and how the village has changed and shifted culturally over the decades… From Charlotte Mason Alumni, to vegetarian restaurants and Rolling Stones records…
So please do join us, we very much look forward to seeing you there!
