A welcoming, low-pressure space to pause, understand stress, learn practical tools and connect with others in a friendly space.
About this Event

We're all carrying an invisible load, we don't often stop to realise, let alone speak to anyone else about openly.

We're getting on with life: working, parenting, caring, managing, achieving and keeping all the plates spinning.

From the outside, we look as though we're absolutely fine. But underneath, we might be tired, overwhelmed, anxious, running on adrenaline, unable to switch off or carrying far more than anyone realises.

The Mental Wellbeing Club™ is a welcoming community space somewhere we don't need to say "I'm fine" just for a hour or two. Time to step away from the demands of everyday life, understand a little more about stress and the nervous system, learn practical tools and connect with other people navigating the pressures of modern life.

What to expect

Each meeting will be slightly differently themed, with some teaching, practical exercises, conversation and time to connect with other friendly people.

Across the Manchester series, we’ll explore topics including:

  • stress, overwhelm and why our bodies respond the way they do
  • the nervous system and simple ways to support regulation
  • boundaries, capacity and the amount we are carrying
  • rest, recovery and switching off
  • resilience without simply learning to tolerate more
  • the pressures of work, family, caring and modern life
  • practical tools you can use beyond the room

This is, and isn’t, therapy

The Mental Wellbeing Club™ is not therapy, counselling or crisis support. No one will diagnose you or try to fix you. It's also not a lecture about everything you should be doing to look after yourself, we know real life rarely works like that! But it is a chance to slow down, learn, reflect and spend time with other people in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Who is it for?

The Club is for anyone who feels they could benefit from a little more space and support, including people who:

  • are carrying a lot at work
  • are parents or carers who spend much of their time thinking about everyone else
  • are neurodivergent and find the world overwhelming at times
  • have been through a difficult period
  • are feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed
  • simply want to take better care of their mental wellbeing

Monthly themes

Each session stands alone, so you can attend one, several or all them! You do not need to attend the full series.

• November: Stress and Your Nervous System

• December: Getting Through the Festive Season Without Running on Empty

• January: A Gentler Reset

• February: Boundaries, Capacity and Saying No

About Hannah

I’m Hannah Beko, founder of Authentically Speaking, a solicitor, coach, trainer, author and mental wellbeing practitioner.

Most my work now focuses on helping people understand what happens beneath stress, overwhelm and burnout, particularly the things we don't often notice while we're busy being capable and getting everything done usually for everyone else.

The Mental Wellbeing Club™ is something I strongly believe in and I've seen the power of building a friendly supportive space, where you can join every month, or come once and get all you need for now. Somewhere we can talk honestly about how we are doing, learn how our minds and bodies respond to pressure, and simply be human for a couple of hours.

I’d love you to join us in Manchester!

Hannah x

NB, each monthly meeting is limited to a maximum of 20 places so please do book your place early!
