this is a fundraiser for the Michigan POW/MIA Memorial. This annual state competition was designed to help generate funding for the Memorial and help food truck owners make some money. a $25 entry fee and 10% of NET sales is all we ask be donated to the Memorial. all participants MUST BE UP TO DATE ON ALL inspections, certifications, and insurances. each year hereafter, this competition will make a randomly selected circle around Michigan and each year in each city this competition will partner with a veteran or first responder charity and share with them a portion of the 2 day leg of competition. winners (10 winners from each leg advance to the state finals) are selected by their gross sales, each days totals. The Traveling Trophy and Bragging rights for 1 year to the highest seller. the winner of the State Champion will hold possession of the Traveling Trophy for 1 year, then they MUST COME BACK AND DEFEND THEIR TITLE, each years prior champion will present the new State Champion with the Traveling Trophy in the closing ceremony.
we have room for 25 trucks at Island Park currently and next year will have space for 50 food trucks.
arrival and setup Sept 19 from 8 am to 1130am, SELLING STARTS AT 12 PM and goes to 7pm. Sept 20 sales begin at 10am and go to 530pm when totals MUST BE GIVEN TO EVENT OFFICIALS FOR FINAL CALCULATIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW STATE CHAMPION. 6pm State Championship Presentation contest officially ends.
