Live music in the Melon Ground. Eclectic music for early evening relaxation in a beautiful setting.
Our resident roots music guitarist, Vo Fletcher, is yet again hosting our summer evening music sessions. Having played with everyone from Fairport Convention to Nigel Kennedy... and many in between, his list of guest players this season should delight everyone. He has a thrilling range of musical guests to delight us with collaborations often leading to the sublime.
Check out the dates below to see who's coming and do join us for some unique outdoor musical experiences in our delightful space.
Gates and bar open from 7pm if you'd like to explore our gorgeous gardens before the music starts, around 7.45pm.
Remember- we are totally outdoors with nature - Cardies, hats and blankets might keep your body comfy while the warmth of the music warms your soul.

May 16th
Vo Fletcher with Ric Sanders. Ric will have been Fairport Conventions Violinist for 4 decades next year! So versatile that along the way he's played with lots of other great artists. On his last visit to us one of our Blackbirds sang along, perfectly.
May 30th
Vo Fletcher and Ricky Cool. Ricky Cool has shared the stage with some legends of British Music but tonight he'll be up close and personal showing why he's right up there amongst the best harmonica players in the UK today.
June 13th
Sam Slater and Faith Brackenbury. With Sam's love of Spanish music and Jazz and mastery of the oud and Faith's love of Irish music and Jazz and her incredible violin playing be prepared for musical fireworks.
June 27th
Acoustic Who. With Vo probably up a river with Fairport we are joined for a return tonight by the Acoustic Who. The band very kindly leave their full drum kit behind to ensure they don't bring down the Melon Ground Walls. Acoustic versions of all your Who favourites!
July 11th
Vo, Sam Slater and Katie Stevens. Clarinetist Katie will keep Vo and Sam on their toes as she brings A veritable smorgasbord of musical delights: from Traditional Irish, Klezmer and British folk music to American jazz standards.
July 25th
Vo Fletcher and annA rydeR. annA rydeR is an original and inventive singer-songwriter with a musical style that, although based in folk, spans an array of genres. A multi-instrumentalist dynamo with a captivating stage presence and a playful approach.
Aug 8th
Gerry Colvin Solo Show. Gerry takes over tonight. We promise that by the end of the evening you'll have shed tears of joy and sorrow and be left wondering 'How can one person be all that?'
Aug 22nd
A Vo Fletcher and Tom Leary. If you mention the name Tom Leary in some circles it is almost revered, you might have caught him with Lindisfarne or Joe Brown. Hailing from the NE he is truly one of the best fiddle players in the UK today.
