It is four years into the Great War and in Brisbane, Australia, Daisy Harvey is frustrated. At nearly 17, she's desperate for a life with more purpose and freedom. As the war’s end draws near, the tide finally begins to turn for Daisy; in her relationships with her mother, her uncle, and her father at the front, and in her tentative new romance with the Kiwi soldier Jack. Set entirely within the month of October, shortly before the final November armistice, this compelling family drama visits the world of the first ANZACs with humour and heart.
