In this in-person workshop, you’ll learn how to teach key materials science concepts to your students with engaging, hands-on activities. You'll explore the science behind ceramics, glass, composites, metals, and more—and discover how these materials connect to cutting-edge fields like hypersonics and to products your students use every day.

During the day-long workshop, you’ll have the chance to:

• Get an inside look at hypersonics and how advanced materials play a critical role in this cutting-edge field
• Earn 6 Contact Hours (equal to 0.6 Continuing Education Credits)

Previous materials science experience is not required! We encourage all disciplines of science teachers to attend, ranging from anatomy and biology to chemistry and physics and more.

Registration will begin at 8:30 in the morning, with the workshop starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.

To secure a spot at the event, a $10 deposit is required during registration. This deposit ensures your commitment to attending. After you attend the event in person, the full $10 will be refunded to you.
