The Little, Big Double Reed Days

Sunday 2 November, 10:00–14:00 – Milton Court
We are delighted to invite young oboists and bassoonists aged 7 to 14 to take part in The Little, Big Double Reed Days, a two-day event designed to support and inspire the next generation of double reed players.
Across two Sundays this autumn, participants will enjoy a varied and engaging programme of activities tailored to all levels of experience, from complete beginners to more advanced young musicians.
Taking place at the Guildhall School’s Silk Street and Milton Court venues, this is a wonderful opportunity for young players to develop their skills, make new friends, and experience music-making in a friendly and encouraging environment.
The Little Day on October 12th is focused on ensemble playing, with preparation for a concert on November 2nd in Milton Court, at the BIG Double Reed Day. We welcome players of all abilities. On November 2nd, you are welcome to stay in the afternoon for masterclasses, reed-making classes, and the trade stands in Silk St.
Parents and carers are warmly invited to attend and observe the day – their presence is welcome and free of charge.
Ticket price for participants is £10 and includes both event dates.
Accompanying adults attend free.
