About this Event
We will reflect on the events of 1986 and examine how Ahmed’s family, local communities, and anti-racist organisations responded to racism, anti-migrant hate, and Islamophobia, both then and now.
Our programme features a panel discussion bringing together individuals involved in the 1986 response to Ahmed’s M**der and those currently working with Global Majority communities, especially youth. The event will be chaired by Selina Ullah, Ahmed’s sister and Trustee.
The event will also showcase local community-led activism and platform Global Majority groups working in youth and education.
Please note that this event focuses on a racist M**der and therefore may open up upsetting and traumatic themes.
