Join us for an impactful screening and discussion of The Last Ecstatic Days, a documentary about a young man with brain cancer, and the hospice doctor who gives up everything to honor his dying wish. This film is the legacy gift from Ethan Sisser, a young man with terminal brain cancer, who started live-streaming his death journey on social media and was joined by thousands of people around the world who engaged in celebrating his courage. Ethan’s goal was to teach the world how to die without fear. He accomplished this by filming his own death.
“Honoring Ethan’s wish, his doctor Aditi Sethi placed him in an idyllic house in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. What unfolded next was a story rarely glimpsed: how a community of strangers helped a young man die with grace.
A sensory immersion into leaving the body, “The Last Ecstatic Days” revealed a man who did not let us forget him – even after he’d taken his final breath.
