APIS MELLIFERRA BIO:
Apis Mellifera is a bona fide traveling bard, wandering coast to coast to share her carefully crafted tunes and help foster community. Her expressive performance style is unique, but the topics universal, from wistful heartbreak to soaring joy. Listen closely and you'll find reflections of your own story, delivered in lilting melodies and cheeky lyrics that tug at the heart strings and engage the imagination.
THE ALPINES BIO:
Salt Lake City’s The Alpines fuse shoegaze grit, synth pulse, and raw guitar energy into a sound that’s unmistakably their own. Fronted by Bri’s powerhouse vocals and Danny’s cinematic guitar work, the band delivers live shows that feel less like concerts and more like immersive experiences—charged, atmospheric, and unforgettable.
Their debut album, “Heading North,” played like a post-apocalyptic road trip through dust and static, establishing their reputation for cinematic soundscapes. The follow-up, “Dying Star,” digs deeper, layering jagged guitars and analog synths with lyrics about losing it all and finding something worth keeping. Together, these records chart the band’s evolution from folk-rooted beginnings toward a darker, more electrified edge.
Now, The Alpines embrace a dark disco digital drum sound, echoing the spirit of The Kills and Cocteau Twins while forging a path entirely their own. With each release, they push further into uncharted territory—balancing raw emotion with sonic experimentation, and proving that reinvention is a powerful instrument.
