Johnny A. is internationally recognized for having a very successful 20+ year career as a solo artist, having anchored J. Geils Band frontman Peter Wolf and his Houseparty 5 Band for eight years. Johnny was also the touring lead guitarist for iconic British band The Yardbirds (2015-2018).
His passion began at the age of thirteen, when he first saw the Beatles in Boston, followed two years later by an in-person witnessing of Jimi Hendrix. By the 1970’s, he was forming bands in the New England area, drawing attention from several established musicians, like Derek and the Dominos’ keyboardist Bobby Whitlock and Doug Clifford of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Johnny A. became Music Director of J. Geils Band singer Peter Wolf’s outfit, coordinating the onstage arrangements, playing on several tours and co-producing Wolf’s 1996 album.
Alongside Johnny A. will be Dean Cassell (bass) and Marty Richards (drums).
Dean Cassell is a Grammy-nominated bassist who has performed with renowned artists like Susan Tedeschi and Bo Diddley. Additionally, he has toured extensively and been inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame.
Marty Richards is a versatile drummer known for his impeccable timing, having played with artists like Duke Robillard, The J. Geils Band, and Norah Jones. He has recorded over 150 albums and was also inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame.
