The Inbetween Leader - Authors Onstage Event

Kingston WritersFest is delighted to present former Minister of Justice Jody Wilson-Raybould and Roshan Danesh with their new book, The Inbetween Leader: Cultivating Courage and Unity in a Complex World.
The Inbetween Leader begins with the premise that our models for leadership have proven wanting in an era where polarization seems the norm and compromise and consensus are political anathema Today’s hyper-partisan climate regularly rewards division, leaving traditional institutions ill-equipped to handle modern social and political fractures.
Instead, Jody and Roshan propose an alternative style of leadership, one that fosters interconnectedness, empowers diverse teams, and maintains unity without erasing difference. Rather than demanding total assimilation or conformity, this approach seeks strength in diverse viewpoints. Drawing on Indigenous governance traditions and ancestral wisdom, The authors will share actionable strategies to replace our failing, hierarchical leadership models with relational, community-driven frameworks built for the modern era.
