About this Event
rave culture started with Black— not Berlin. The House That Black Built is a journey through the roots of rave, from the deep grooves of house to the raw energy of acid, tracing it all back to the Black creators who built this movement. frankie knuckles, mr. fingers, ron hardy— this night is a tribute to the architects of the sound we dance to.
expect a full-spectrum sonic trip: house, acid, techno, the sounds that shaped dance floors then and still hit just as hard now. lights low, bass high, no barriers—just movement, connection, and community.
20% of proceeds go to wa na wari, a Black arts collective preserving and celebrating Black art + culture in seattle.
as always, the space is built for safety: HEPA-certified air filters, KN95 masks available, and zero tolerance for anything but respect. come through, dance with intention, and pay homage to the roots.
