Gakkattack Promotions specialise in putting on the best punk bands live and it doesn't get much better than Belfast three-piece The Hoakers, who are launching their brand new album "Finding The Beauty In Chaos" which will be on sale on vinyl on the night.
The band started life in 2012 as A.R.S.E , a punk covers band, comprising ex members of Belfast punk bands, Asylum, Re’bel and Stalag 17, Donal McCann on drums & vocals, Petesy Burns on bass & vocals and Marty Lenane on guitar & vocals. After a few years playing all the old classics in bars and clubs on the local scene, in late 2019 the band decided to leave the covers behind, get back to their roots and start writing original material. Drawing from their many and varied influences, they produce a driving sound that has been likened to a fusion of the many different styles of punk North of the ‘border’ - danceable and singalongable and with intelligent observant lyrics.... It's punk and new wave and modern and relevant and catchy and brilliant!!
