It goes on to describe the different types of kauri gum, what it has been used for (including the great collections), where to find it today and what to do with it. There is some discussion on kauri amber, in particular the international research into flora and fauna inclusions. The talk includes a modest historical overview.
History talk: This talk begins by describing what kauri gum is. Māori uses for kauri gum and spirituality is discussed before moving on to look at early non Māori contact with kauri gum.
