Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven get a bold remix in this high-energy mashup of classical music and hip-hop as The Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience teams up with the Walla Walla Symphony.If you like the musical Hamilton, this concert blends classical music and hip-hop energy in a similar way.
Led by composer and pianist JooWan Kim, the show features MCs, a lyric soprano, and a full orchestra. The music is fully original, combining symphonic writing with rap, rhythm, and movement. The result is a concert that feels active and engaging from start to finish.
The evening also features collaborations with local artists Rodney Outlaw, Comon Pholk, and The 5th Element Project, creating a connection between visiting artists and the Walla Walla community.
