We are excited to bring you a 12-hour community event designed for all abilities.
Have you looked at ultra distance events and wanted to give one a go? Are you concerned you would be too slow and miss the time cut off for each lap? Well then this is the perfect event for you.
Join us at 7am on Sunday 27th of September for what will be an epic adventure. The course is an easy 4km loop with half cycle way and half bush tracks. It is well sign posted and easy to follow and should take anywhere from 20-30 minutes as a run, or 40-50 minutes at an easy stroll. Take as long as you need. There is no time cut off and you can do as many loops as you like.
The start time is 7am with a finish of 7pm. Just as it is starting to get dark. You may start and finish at any time during the day. Just come and sign in when you get to the park. Then when you are finished for the day, let our team at the registration tent know. You will then receive one of our custom medals.
You MUST be self-sufficient however the team from Pilgrim Bandits (a NZ charity) will have hot food and cold drinks available. There will also be a coffee cart to keep you going.
We will have a gazebo set up at the start/finish line with some water and a basic first aid kit. There will also be toilets nearby and a water fountain. You are welcome to set up your own tent, but you need to leave the park as you found it and take all rubbish home with you.
Pushchairs and Bicycles
Unfortunately, the trail section is narrow and has stairs so is not really suitable for pushchairs with a large number of runners. Bicycles are also restricted here. However, your kids are welcome to run or walk with you so long as they are entered. There is also a large park to play in if they come to support you.
