This year's race celebrates the colorful world of cartoons, so gather your crew, choose your favorite cartoon characters, and bring them to life in an unforgettable cardboard boat. Whether you're inspired by classic Saturday morning cartoons or today's animated favorites, we can't wait to see your creativity on the water.
Whether you're building a boat to compete, sponsoring the event, or simply cheering from the shoreline, the Great Cardboard Boat Race is one of Greater Longview United Way's most anticipated community traditions. Teams transform ordinary cardboard into incredible floating creations, then race them across the water in a day filled with creativity, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs.
Every sponsorship and team registration helps Greater Longview United Way fund 27 impactful programs operated by 16 trusted local nonprofit partners, all dedicated to supporting healthy communities, youth opportunities, financial security, and community resiliency throughout Gregg County.
