e George Martins, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier Beatles cover bands, will rock the stage of Hoover Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21.For their Lakeside debut concert, the band will recreate two iconic albums released by The Beatles in 1965, Help! and Rubber Soul, perfectly recreating hits like “Yesterday,” “Ticket to Ride” and “In My Life.”
Best known for accurately and authentically recreating albums, The George Martins have performed Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Let It Be, Abbey Road and The White Album in their entirety to sold-out crowds in venues in Cleveland and beyond since 2016.
The band’s core members – Michael Miller, Tony Bunce, David McHenry, Mike Lyford and Jason Weiner – have performed with Cleveland-area bands for decades, but it’s their passion for performing and sharing the music of The Beatles that has kept them together as The George Martins.
The group has performed at a variety of venues and private events across the state, including the Kent Beatles Festival, Akron Civic Theatre, The Music Box and Ohio State Fair.
The band significantly expanded its audience in recent years by performing in front of a national crowd at Abbey Road on the River, the largest Beatles-inspired festival in the United States, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
