About The Gentle Barre Project

The Gentle Barre Project is an adaptive ballet class designed for children who thrive with a softer, more intentional approach. Classes are small (maximum 8 students) and blend classical ballet foundations with a sensory-aware, supportive environment.

Each class focuses on:

• Gentle warm-up and stretching
• Simple ballet positions and movements
• Musicality, rhythm, and imagination
• Confidence, body awareness, and joy in movement

No prior dance experience is required.

Who This Class is For

• Children ages 4-10 (approx.)
• Children who are curious about ballet but prefer a calm, structured space
• Children who may be neurodivergent, sensitive, or benefit from clear routines and visual modeling

Class Details

• Duration: 45 minutes
• Group size: Max 8 students
• Location: TBD
• What to wear: Simple dancewear or comfortable clothing; ballet shoes or grippy socks if possible
• Minimum enrollment: Classes run with a minimum of 2 registered students. If a class does not meet minimum enrollment, you will be notified and offered a transfer to another date or a full refund.
