Join us for the Living Land Community Festival at Vizcaya Village, a special edition of the weekly Farmers Market honoring Indigenous communities and Vizcaya’s ongoing commitment to acknowledging and respecting the land and its stewards.
This family-friendly celebration features live performances by Tonalxochitl and Moeata Luau, hands-on workshops led by Ameyal Mexican Cultural Organization and Voices of the River of Grass, and film screenings curated by AV Club. Explore, learn, and gather in community through art, music, storytelling, and shared space.
FREE | PERFORMANCES
- AMEYAL MEXICAN CULTURAL ORGANIZATION | 10:30 AM| Shares the richness of Mexican heritage through pre-Hispanic dance, traditional music, folkloric ballet, and cultural education, serving as a welcoming hub for community, artists, and workshops rooted in cultural pride.
- STORYTELLING BY OLLIE WAREHAM | 12:00 PM | Traditional storytelling with Gordon “Ollie” Wareham, Director of the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum and a proud member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, as he shares powerful origin stories and ancestral histories that honor Indigenous knowledge, land stewardship, and living cultural traditions.
- MOEATA LUAU | 2:00 PM | Led by the Otaha Family, is a dynamic Polynesian entertainment company dedicated to sharing the beauty, energy, and traditions of the Pacific Islands. Through vibrant dance, live drumming, and cultural storytelling, Moeata Luau takes audiences on an unforgettable journey across Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and beyond, all in one captivating show.
FREE | DROP-IN FAMILY WORKSHOPS
- OJOS DE DIOS| 11:00 - 1:00| Ojos de Dios are traditional woven objects created by the Huichol (wet-chol) Indigenous people of Mexico, with Ameyal Mexican Cultural Organization. These pieces are deeply symbolic, commonly made to express care, protection, and well-being—especially for children—and to reflect hopes for balance, health, and abundance.
- COMMUNITY PATCHWORK | 12:30 - 2:30| Join Voices of the River of Grass for a hands-on, family-friendly patchwork activity that brings people together through art and storytelling. Participants of all ages are invited to contribute a square inspired by nature, personal experiences, or connections to community and place.
$10 | Aromatherapy Oils Workshop [Adulrs-Only]
1:00-3:00| Facilitated by Ameyal Mexican Cultural Organization, discover the art of creating aromatherapy oils using natural plants, herbs, and botanical materials. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of scent blending, explore the properties of plant-based oils, and craft a personalized aromatherapy blend to take home. Capacity is limited. Ticket can be purchased as an add-on.

ACCESSING THE VILLAGE | As we work towards the restoration of Vizcaya Village for the enjoyment of our community, the gate at SW 32nd Road will be closed until further notice. To access the farmers market at the Village, please enter through the Parking Lot from S. Miami Ave.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Farmers Market admission does not include free admission to the Main House and formal gardens on the East side of the estate. The address to Vizcaya Village is 3250 S. Miami Ave. Miami FL 33129.

Can I bring my dog or pet?
Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at the market. Owners are expected to clean up after their dog and supervise them throughout their stay on property.
Pets are not permitted on the east side of the property where the Main House and gardens are located.
Is the market FREE? Why should I register?
Yes, the market is free and open to the public. We encourage everyone to register online to help us track attendance for social distancing purposes. By registering, you are also able to receive updates about the market, such as updated vendor lists and special offers and discounts.
What does the market include?
By visiting the Vizcaya Village Farmers Market, you get access to shop from a variety of local, artisanal vendors in one spot. You also get the exclusive opportunity to explore Vizcaya Village for free. Built between 1914 and 1916, the Village is currently only open to the public during the market.
Can I visit the Main House and gardens for FREE?
No, entry to the Main House and gardens on the east side of the property is not included with market access. This portion of the estate requires the purchase of museum admission. Tickets can be reserved online.
I'm a Vizcaya member. Do I get a discount?
Yes, Vizcaya members get 10% off purchases at the market. Just show your member ID.
