The GALPAL Club : Picnic at IMMA
About this Event
Join us for the GALPAL Club’s picnic at IMMA and complimentary slow art session.
The complimentary Slow Art session will focus on in depth appreciation of the works of Cecilia Vicuña on the final day of its exhibition at the museum. Cecilia Vicuña is an artist, filmmaker and poet from Chile whose work addresses the concerns of modern issues such as ecological destruction, human rights and cultural homogenisation. The Slow Art session will guide visitors through a contemplative approach of viewing art by looking closely at specific pieces from Cecilia Vicuña exhibition “ Reverse Migration A Poetic Journey".
After the art session, The GALPAL Collective will host a picnic outside the museum’s garden. The event is produced by The GALPAL Collective as part of the "The GALPAL Club" and cost of tickets are strictly to cover costs of catering and picnic activities.
The GALPAL Collective are a Black-run arts and media organisation, dedicated to the celebration and curation of works by women, queer folk, ethnic minorities and migrants.
