About our speaker: Theresa Augustin, VP of Education and Conservation at Norfolk Botanical Garden, began her career at the Garden in 2000 as an Apprentice Gardener in the Horticulture Department. In 2004, she became Curator of Natural Areas, managing 80+ acres of informal gardens and natural areas. Transitioning to the Education Department in 2016, she now leads strategic initiatives around environmental education and conservation. Theresa, an Old Dominion University biology graduate, continues to collaborate with the ODU Biology Department and has served on the university’s Lytton J. Musselman Lecture Series committee since 2011. She previously served as Vice President of the South Hampton Roads Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society and currently serves on TCC’s Horticulture Advisory Board.
