The National Civil Rights Museum will present its 35th Freedom Award on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Memphis, during the Museum’s own 35th anniversary year.
Acclaimed actor and producer Larenz Tate will host the milestone celebration, which honors distinguished leaders whose work advances civil and human rights.
The evening includes the Red Carpet Pre-Show Gala at the Halloran Center for Performing Arts, followed by the Award Ceremony at the Orpheum.
