Soil & Soul: An Everbloom Experience
About this Event
Soil & Soul:
AN EVERBLOOM FARMACY EXPERIENCE CULTIVATING BLACK LEADERSHIP, RESILIENCE, AND HEALING
Join us at Everbloom Farmacy for Soil & Soul – a two-day immersive journey into how we ground ourselves, heal, and build for our families and communities.
Rooted in Warrior-Healer-Builder, a disciplined practice developed by AYA Educational Institute over thirty years ago, this weekend supports transformation at every level of life. Together we’ll learn to recognize and rewrite past scripts that shape our stories, emotions, and behaviors — often without our knowing — so we can move forward with intention rather than reaction.
This gathering is designed for community leaders, educators, organizers, and advocates committed to strengthening Black communities, well-being, and food sovereignty locally and throughout the African diaspora.
Friday, October 2 · 6:00 PM–8:30 PM
We open the weekend with light bites and root ourselves in community, establishing shared agreements for how we’ll be together and beginning to explore the Warrior-Healer-Builder within each of us.
Warriors protect justice, courage, accountability, and vision.
Healers restore relationships, acknowledge trauma, create belonging, and nurture trust.
Builders transform ideas into sustainable systems, partnerships, and community infrastructure.
Saturday, October 3 · 8:30 AM–7:15 PM
Saturday is a full day of reflection and connection, built around an interactive journey. Using the principles of the Warrior-Healer-Builder model, we’ll explore how we fight for and protect what matters, tend to what needs healing, and build what comes next for intentional lives and thriving communities.
In the afternoon, join a fireside chat on Food as a Means of Healing with Kenneth Anderson (Founder, Everbloom Farmacy), Padmore John (Assistant Commissioner, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene), and Carolyn Taylor-Harris (Integrative Health Coach and Nutritionist, Sanita Soul) — a conversation on health, self-advocacy, food security and sovereignty.
The day also includes:
A gardening practice.
A yoga session.
A mindful guided walk.
Catered lunch.
A communal dinner prepared by renowned New York chef Beejhy Barhany.
Bring your full self — your questions, your wisdom, and your willingness to actively participate.
Price: $150 per person
Presented by Everbloom Farmacy in partnership with AYA Educational Institute, Tsion Cafe, Nia Ford Consulting, and community partners.
