About this Event

The Free Black Women's Library is a literary hub, reading room, Black Feminist archive, and community care space that features a free store, period pantry, backyard garden, reading club, weekly book swap, and a wide array of free public programs, as well as a collection of over 5000 books written by Black women and Black nonbinary authors.
This social art project was created by artist and cultural worker OlaRonke Akinmowo in 2015, and is funded by merchandise sales and direct donations.

Join us at The Free Black Women's Library for a day of wellness, healing and care featuring the Embodied Medicine Collective
Attendess will receive ear acupuncture, ear seeds, reiki and be invited to take part in a grief processing circle and breathwork session.
Community members are invited to receive services that promote nervous system regulation, ancestral connection, and self embodiment
Saturday, September 19th
1PM - 4PM
This event will center Black women, queer and trans folks but all are invited to attend.
We ask all participamts to wear masks during treatment and while imside The Free Black Women's Library space.
Please arrive on time.
