Join this creative workshop for some stitching chatting and sharing inspired by the museum’s collections.

Inspiration:

This session will focus on the museum’s new 2025 Banner Exhibition. Participants are invited to explore the exhibition and take a deeper dive into the meaning and relevance of the banners on display and how we relate to them.

We will be focussing on the International Women’s Day quilt 2010 continuing to explore how we can use textile weaving techniques to deepen our understanding of strength in unity.

In response to this banner we will use discussion and textile processes to create individual and collaborative textile pieces reflecting on what the banners mean to us today.

All textile abilities welcome suitable for 11+ (under 18s must have an accompanying adult).

We are able to offer a limited number of free places to people in economic difficulty – please help us to continue to offer this by only taking it if you need it.
