About this Event
Join us at Southampton SOLENT University for an essential briefing on the Employment Rights Act 2025 and the major legislative changes coming into force in April 2026 and beyond.
This session will be led by Marc Long — Head of National Employment at Clarke Willmott — will equip HR professionals and organisational leaders with clear, practical insight into the new requirements and how to prepare strategically for what lies beyond.
Marc is a qualified Barrister with extensive experience in both contentious and non‑contentious employment law, specialising in TUPE, outsourcing, large‑scale restructures and senior settlement arrangements. His expertise ensures a highly informative and engaging session.
HR professionals and organisational leaders will gain valuable, actionable insight from this session, enabling them to confidently navigate the significant changes introduced by the Employment Rights Act 2025 and the reforms coming into force from April 2026.
Led by Marc Long, Head of National Employment at Clarke Willmott, the briefing will translate complex legislative updates into clear, practical guidance, helping leaders understand their new obligations, mitigate legal risk, and strengthen organisational compliance.

Speakers Bio: Marc Long
Marc is Head of the National Employment for Clarke Willmott. He specialises in all aspects of both contentious and non-contentious employment law, with particular emphasis on TUPE and outsourcing. His work includes providing support to his corporate colleagues on a variety of transactions as well as advising Human Resources professionals on a daily basis.
Marc is a qualified Barrister and was called to the Bar in 1995. He has gained invaluable advocacy experience in both Courts and Tribunals and appears in the Employment Tribunal regularly. Aside from his TUPE expertise, he is also known for his work on large scale staff restructurings involving collective consultation obligations. Marc also regularly drafts and advises on high value settlement agreements for senior employees and on the removal of company directors and shareholders.”

Parking: Car Parking is available, at the University, at this time in the evening, particularly in Zone F, this is a hard standing area off to the right as you enter from Gate 1 St. Andrews Road.
