The Dye Bar: Intro to Ice Dyeing
About this Event
Spend a colorful afternoon exploring the wonderfully unpredictable art of ice dyeing. Using ice and fiber-reactive dyes, we’ll experiment with color placement and blending to create beautifully organic, one-of-a-kind patterns on two cotton tea towels. As the ice slowly melts, the dyes shift, mingle and separate in surprising ways- part of the magic is seeing what emerges!
This relaxed, three-hour workshop takes place in a shady backyard in Northeast Los Angeles, with wine, sparkling water, snacks, conversation and plenty of creative play. No experience necessary- just come ready to experiment with color and embrace the unexpected.
