To celebrate the 250th anniversary of America, Historian, Joel Farkas presents: The Declaration of Independence: America’s Birth Certificate —From Conception to Celebration.Join us for discussion with historian Joel Farkas on the document, the day, (and a whole lot of independence in-between). From Magna Carta (1215) to The French and Indian War to The Declaration Of Independence to The Revolutionary War to The French Revolution (and Napoleon) to The War of 1812 to Today. (Fasten your saddles and seatbelts. This is going to be quite a ride).
Joel Farkas is a graduate of The Ohio State University. In addition to lecturing at Fairleigh Dickinson University, he is also a National Park Service volunteer docent at Washington Headquarters, Morristown, and a lecturer at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Rutgers University. He is the recipient of the National Park Service Centennial Volunteer Challenge Award.
Program will be held in the Stockton Room.
