are an exciting punk-ska band spawned from the vibrant arts and music scene of Lawrence, Kansas. A full horn section distinguishes this unit as they honor the tradition of rock, ska, blues, and jazz... with a fresh twist for the Midwest.
is an 11 piece band from Lawrence, Kansas that features a full horn section and four lead vocalists. They play a wide range of styles from funk to rock to R&B to blues to gospel and even an occasional sojourn into island groove. They play all original music and have been together for 30 years. They’re a dance band with a conscience, with thoughtful lyrics emanating from a beautiful collection of voices. If you’re not moving when they hold court….check your pulse.
is an 11-piece groove machine from Lawrence, Kansas that was spawned from the flames of the annual Lawrence Mardi Gras Parade. Just drums and horns (and some tasty vocal stylings as well). They play some New Orleans-style Mardi Gras staples as well as some straight-up funk. No sit-down drumset – these folks will plow through the crowd and bring the party to you! Don’t overthink it- just press play and let’s boogie.
